In The Studio With AYREON Mastermind ARJEN LUCASSEN; Video Available

April 18, 2008

Holland's FaceCulture visited AYREON mastermind Arjen Lucassen at his Electric Castle studio where he explained how he worked on the track "The Fifth Extinction". The song appears on the fifth and latest AYREON CD, titled "01011001", and is very interesting because it features appearances by no less than six different singers. Lucassen offers insight into the build-up of the track, explains how he managed to combine all the different voices, and reveals why he has chosen the particular singers to be involved with the recording.

Watch the 13-minute clip below.

"01011001", the new rock opera from AYREON has registered the following chart positions around the globe:

Hungary: #54
Sweden: #54
U.S.: #68 (Indie chart)
Switzerland: #85
Canada: #86 (Hard Music chart)
